Grounded van bodies 8.

Just for a change, here's one in good condition. Its located in Wormhill, Derbyshire (SK123743) at the front of a group of farm buildings close to the road.

Judging by the roof shape and vent positions I'd say that its yet another Western Region body.
Note the boarded over vents, milk churns inside, and the way the dry stone walls (limestone in this part of the Peaks) butt up to it.

  1. A great find! The position of the walls seem to suggest that the van pre-dates them...very interesting!

  2. I like the milk churns inside, one of which is just visible, which seem quite out of place in this day and age. A modelling cliche?
