Another recently completed model, this is a Parkside Dundas (now just Dundas) kit for a Festiniog railway goods brake van.
A nice little kit, built mostly as intended by the manufactorer, the only deviation from the instructions being the addition of brass pin-point bearings. Which was more trouble than its worth to be honest.
Couplings are Greenwich bodies with RT Models large loops. These loops give a little more sideways play than Greenwich loops, which is a boon on tightly curved track.
Paint is Revel Reddish Brown for the body, Phoenix Precision Dirty Black for the frames and Revel Dark Grey on the roof.
The only build issues (apart from the brass bearings) were the glazing bars, for which is supplied that odd red styrene(?) rod that Slaters make. This has a habit is shrinking slightly in contact with solvent, so glueing the bars in place took several attempts over a few evenings.
A nice little addition to my wagon fleet.
